CHAT & CONDUCT

Chat & Conduct

How you treat each other in chat, in-game and in Discord.

  1. No swearing or cursingwarn

Astroworld stays clean. No swearing other curse words.

Astroworld stays clean. No swearing, or other curse words in chat. Includes English and other languages. The chat filter blocks most of these but if you bypass it (typing f.uck, sh!t, fck, etc.) the same rule applies.

This counts in: server chat, party chat, signs, books, item names, builds visible to others, Discord general channels.

    not okay
    • Curse words spelled out
    • Filter bypass: f.uck, sh!t, fck, b!tch
    • Curse words in another language
    • Curse words in book or sign text
    • Renaming items to curse words
    Consequences
    1. Offense 1: warning
    2. Offense 2: 30 minute mute
    3. Offense 3: 1 day mute
    4. Offense 4: longer mutes, eventual ban for repeat offenders
  2. No slurs, no harassmentban

Zero tolerance from first offense. Family-friendly does not mean we let slurs slide.

This is the one rule we take seriously from the first time. Family-friendly does not mean we let slurs slide.

We don't care about context. "I was joking", "we're all friends", "it's just a meme" doesn't apply here. If you wouldn't say it to a 12-year-old's parents, don't say it on Astroworld.

    never okay
    • Racial slurs (you know the words)
    • Homophobic slurs (f-word, d-word for gay people)
    • Transphobic slurs
    • Slurs targeting religion, disability, ethnicity, or nationality
    • Telling someone to kys, kill yourself, go die, or any variant
    • Threats of violence, even joking ones
    • Sexual harassment of any kind, including unwanted DMs
    context excuses
    • I was joking
    • we're all friends
    • it's just a meme
    • I didn't mean it that way
    Consequences
    1. Offense 1: 7 day mute + final warning
    2. Offense 2: permanent ban across server and Discord
  3. No spamwarn

Don't fill chat with the same message, random characters, or all-caps for entire sentences.

Don't fill the chat with the same message, random characters, or all caps for entire sentences.

    not okay
    • BUYING DIAMONDS BUYING DIAMONDS BUYING DIAMONDS (10 lines in a row)
    • HELLO HELLO HELLO HELLO HELLO HELLO
    • asdfasdfasdfasdf (keyboard mash)
    okay
    • BUYING DIAMONDS, 50 each, /msg me (one line, fine)
    • Short caps for emphasis: GG! or WIN!
    Consequences
    1. Offense 1: warning + chat slowmode
    2. Offense 2: 15 minute mute
    3. Offense 3: 1 hour mute, escalates from there
  4. English in main chatinfo

Main server chat is English. Other languages fine in DMs, party chat, or language Discord channels.

Main server chat is English. This keeps the conversation accessible to everyone. If you want to talk in another language, use party chat, DMs, or the language-specific Discord channels (we add them when there is enough demand).

This is not "no other languages allowed ever". It's "main chat works best in English". Greetings, short phrases, or one-line responses in another language are fine.

    okay
    • Greetings and short phrases in another language
    • One-line responses in another language
    • Full conversations in /msg or party chat
    not okay
    • Long conversations in another language in main chat
    • Switching to another language to avoid the chat filter or staff
    Consequences
    1. Offense 1: polite reminder, no formal warning
    2. Offense 2: repeated only after multiple reminders
  5. No advertising other serverswarn

Don't promote other Minecraft servers, Discords, or services in chat.

Don't promote other Minecraft servers, Discord servers, websites, or services in chat. This includes IPs, links, names, or even hints ("come to our better server").

    okay
    • Talking about your favorite YouTuber or streamer
    • Mentioning another server in passing during a conversation
    • Saying you used to play X server in a discussion
    not okay
    • Posting another server's IP
    • Sharing Discord invite links to other communities
    • Recruiting players to a different server
    • Promoting your own business, OnlyFans, crypto project
    Consequences
    1. Offense 1: warning + message removed
    2. Offense 2: 1 day mute
    3. Offense 3: permanent mute or ban depending on context
  6. Be civil in disagreementswarn

Disagreements are fine. Floods, harassment, and following players around the server are not.

Players disagree. That's fine. What's not fine: turning a small argument into a war that floods chat or follows people around the server.

If you're frustrated with another player: - Take it to /msg or party chat - Use /ignore <player> if you don't want to see their messages - Report to staff via /support on the website if it's serious - Walk away from the keyboard for a minute if you need to

What we look at when an argument is reported: who started it, whether it stayed in chat or escalated to harassment, whether either player tried to de-escalate, whether anyone broke other rules during the argument.

Most arguments end with a warning to both sides and a reminder to use /ignore.

    tools to use
    • /msg <player> for private convo
    • /ignore <player> to mute them for you
    • /support to file a report
    • Party chat to talk privately
    Consequences
    1. Offense 1: warning to both sides + reminder to use /ignore
    2. Offense 2: 30 minute mute for whoever continues
    3. Offense 3: longer mutes
  7. No drama, vent culture, or witch huntswarn

Don't post player drama in main chat. Don't try to rally others against someone. Use /support.

Don't post about how a player did you wrong in main chat. Don't try to rally other players against someone. Don't make alts to "expose" people.

If something genuinely went wrong, file a report through /support. We read every one.

    not okay
    • Posting screenshots of a private convo to shame someone in main chat
    • Trying to rally chat against a specific player
    • Making alts to spread negative info about another player
    • Calling out staff publicly instead of filing an appeal
    Consequences
    1. Offense 1: warning + please take it to /support
    2. Offense 2: 1 hour mute
    3. Offense 3: longer mutes, escalating
  8. No staff impersonationtemp-ban

Real staff have visible rank tags. Don't pretend to be staff.

Don't pretend to be staff. This means: - Don't use a name that looks like a staff member's - Don't claim you're "with the team" if you're not - Don't tell players you can ban them if you can't - Don't say "the owner said it's okay" if it isn't

Real staff have visible rank tags in chat (Mod, Admin, Helper, etc.). If someone says they're staff but doesn't have the tag, they aren't.

    not okay
    • Using a name like Astroworld_Mod
    • Telling new players you can ban them
    • Claiming the owner approved your behavior
    • Pretending to enforce rules when you're not staff
    Consequences
    1. Offense 1: 1 day mute + warning
    2. Offense 2: 7 day ban
    3. Offense 3: permanent ban
GAMEPLAY

Gameplay

PvP, claims, griefing, and the worlds you play in.

  1. Hub world is for movement, not buildinginfo

Hub is your landing spot. From here you go to /survival, the PvP warp, the store NPC, and other features.

The hub is your landing spot. From here you go to /survival, the PvP warp, the store NPC, and other features.

These features are simply blocked in hub on purpose. We list this here so you know why your /home doesn't work in spawn.

    do
    • Use the NPCs to travel to survival or other worlds
    • Read the welcome signs once if you're new
    • Move on to actual gameplay
    dont
    • Try to break or place blocks (you can't anyway)
    • Use survival commands here (/sethome, /home, /backpack, /vault)
    • Loiter and spam to AFK farm in spawn
    Consequences
    1. Offense 1: no formal punishment - features are simply blocked
  2. PvP rulestemp-ban

PvP is opt-in. Use /pvp on or /pvp off. Always on in PvP warp, always off in spawn.

PvP is opt-in in the survival world. By default it's off. Use `/pvp on` if you want to fight other players. Use `/pvp off` to turn it back off.

**Where PvP is always on:** the PvP warp (you knew what you signed up for going there). **Where PvP is always off:** spawn / hub world. **Where PvP is your choice:** survival world, anywhere outside the PvP warp.

**Important:** if your /pvp is OFF, no one can hit you. If you turn it on and lose, that was your choice. No refunds for items lost in fair PvP. You cannot toggle /pvp on, attack someone, then toggle off mid-fight to escape. The system has a cooldown for this. Trying to abuse it is treated as exploit (see Cheating section).

    fair pvp
    • Both players have /pvp on, fight, winner takes the loot
    • PvP warp combat
    • Mutual PvP toggle for arena fight
    not okay
    • Toggling /pvp off mid-fight to escape
    • Combat-logging during a PvP fight
    • Tricking someone into /pvp on then ambushing immediately
    Consequences
    1. Offense 1: warning + lost items NOT refunded
    2. Offense 2: 1 day temp ban
    3. Offense 3: 7 day temp ban
  3. No griefingtemp-ban

Claims protect everything. Building giant ugly stuff next to bases on purpose, lava-leaking, or trapping with shared trust still counts as griefing.

Claims are protected. You cannot break or place blocks on someone else's claim unless they trust you. This means actual physical griefing is impossible.

What still counts as griefing and IS punishable: building giant ugly structures right next to someone's base in unclaimed land specifically to annoy them, spamming lava water or fire near the edge of someone's claim hoping it leaks in, leaving signs with insults or personal attacks where another player will see them, trapping a player using shared trust permissions.

    still griefing
    • Massive eyesore tower right outside someone's base
    • Lava bucket spam near a claim edge
    • Signs with insults or slurs where players walk by
    • Pit traps right outside a claimed area
    Consequences
    1. Offense 1: warning + cleanup required
    2. Offense 2: 7 day temp ban + cleanup
    3. Offense 3: permanent ban
  4. Claims are yours, but be reasonablewarn

Claim what you build and use. Don't claim massive areas to lock other players out. Don't hoard biomes.

Claim what you build. Claim what you use regularly.

If a player has clearly abandoned a claim (months inactive, no content), staff can review and unclaim it on request via /support. We don't auto-unclaim, you have to ask.

    not okay
    • Claiming massive areas you have no plans for
    • Claiming resource biomes (jungle, mushroom island) and refusing to share
    • Re-claiming land after someone unclaimed it just to grief them
    Consequences
    1. Offense 1: warning + reasonable claim size enforced
    2. Offense 2: claim partially unclaimed by staff
    3. Offense 3: temp ban from claim system
  5. Player traps and redstone trickstemp-ban

Traps are fine in PvP zones and on land where players trusted you. Not fine in spawn-adjacent areas, public roads, or to lure new players.

Building elaborate redstone or terrain to trap players is fine in PvP zones and on land where they trusted you. Doing it in spawn-adjacent areas, public roads, or to lure players into death is not.

    fine
    • Mob farms
    • Auto-sorters
    • Hidden bases with secret entrances
    • PvP arena traps in PvP warp
    not fine
    • A pit at the entrance to spawn that drops new players
    • A piston trap on a public road
    • Tricking players into trusting your claim then trapping them
    Consequences
    1. Offense 1: warning + trap removal
    2. Offense 2: 1 day temp ban + lost items refunded to victim
    3. Offense 3: permanent ban
  6. Don't grief through trust permissionstemp-ban

If a player /trusts you, they gave you access. Stealing or breaking their stuff is theft, even with perms.

If a player trusts you (`/trust <player>`) on their claim, you have access. Use that responsibly.

Breaking down their build, stealing from their chests, or modifying their stuff without permission is theft, even if technically you have the perms.

This is one of the few "minor" categories where we go straight to a long ban on first offense. Trust violations destroy player confidence and we don't tolerate it.

    not okay
    • Stealing from chests on a claim where you have trust
    • Breaking blocks on a trusted claim without permission
    • Modifying farms or builds you didn't make
    • Using trust to grief and then leaving
    Consequences
    1. Offense 1: 7 day temp ban + items refunded if possible
    2. Offense 2: permanent ban
CHEATING & EXPLOITS

Cheating & Exploits

What client mods are fine, what cheats get you banned, and how to report bugs.

  1. No hacked clients or cheat modsban

Killaura, x-ray, fly hacks, auto-clickers, ESP all banned. First offense is permanent.

If you're not sure if a mod is cheating, ask in /support BEFORE you use it. If you got the mod from a "Minecraft hack" YouTube video, it's probably banned.

We have logs. We can prove it. Don't bother appealing with "it was my brother" - the appeal will be denied.

    banned
    • Killaura, aimbot, anti-knockback, reach mods
    • Fly hacks, jetpack mods, fast walk
    • X-ray, ESP, mob radar, chest finder
    • Auto-clickers (for combat or mining)
    • Anything that gives you abilities the vanilla game doesn't
    Consequences
    1. Offense 1: permanent ban
  2. Optifine, shaders, performance mods are fineinfo

Optifine, shaders, mini-maps (explored only), Litematica without printer, sorting mods all allowed.

If a mod gives you info or actions the vanilla game wouldn't, it crosses the line.

    allowed
    • Optifine
    • Sodium / Lithium / Phosphor (Fabric performance mods)
    • Shaders (BSL, Complementary, etc.)
    • Mini-map mods that ONLY show terrain you've explored (Xaero's, Journeymap)
    • Litematica for build planning (NO printer mode)
    • Inventory tweaks / sorting mods
    Consequences
    1. Offense 1: no punishment - these are allowed
  3. No exploits or duplication glitchestemp-ban

Find a bug? Stop and report it. Exploit it? Temp ban + items removed. Share with friends to exploit? Longer ban.

If you find a bug that lets you duplicate items, bypass economy, dupe money, skip claim protection, or break the game's normal limits - stop immediately and report it via /support.

Reporting a bug honestly: we may give you a small reward for finding it. Exploiting a bug you find: temporary ban + items removed + economy reset for items affected. Sharing a bug with other players to exploit together: longer temp ban + permanent reputation hit if it happens again.

    exploits seen
    • Dupe glitches with end portals, pistons, books
    • Reaching coordinates outside the world border through nether portal abuse
    • Selling items to admin shops then buying them back at lower price for instant profit
    • Using lag-back to avoid death
    Consequences
    1. Offense 1: 7 day temp ban + items removed
    2. Offense 2: 30 day temp ban + economy reset where applicable
    3. Offense 3: permanent ban
  4. No combat-loggingwarn

Don't disconnect during PvP to escape death. The server kills you anyway.

Don't disconnect from the server while taking damage from another player to escape death. The server kills you anyway after a few seconds, but trying counts.

    counts as logging
    • Closing the game during PvP
    • Pulling your network cable
    • Toggling /pvp off while in combat (also covered in 2.2)
    Consequences
    1. Offense 1: warning + items not refunded
    2. Offense 2: 1 day temp ban
    3. Offense 3: 7 day temp ban
  5. No lag machines or server abusetemp-ban

Don't intentionally lag the server. Most of this is auto-blocked. If you bypass the limit, that's an exploit.

Don't intentionally lag the server. Most of this is also blocked by the server itself. If you find a way around the limits, that's an exploit (see 3.3).

    not okay
    • Massive automated mob farms with no kill chamber
    • Redstone clocks that run forever with no purpose
    • Spawning 10,000 of one entity in a small area
    • Anything that drops server TPS visibly
    Consequences
    1. Offense 1: warning + lag machine destroyed
    2. Offense 2: 7 day temp ban
    3. Offense 3: permanent ban
ECONOMY & TRADING

Economy & Trading

Shops, /trade, no scams, no real-money trading.

  1. No scammingtemp-ban

Taking money or items without giving what was agreed. First offense is 7 day ban + full refund to victim.

A scam is when you take someone's money or items without giving what was agreed.

    scams
    • Selling a fake "diamond pickaxe" that's actually a wooden one renamed
    • Agreeing to a /trade then swapping your offer at the last second
    • "I'll give you back the items in 5 minutes" then logging off forever
    • Selling something that doesn't work as advertised (fake enchant books, mislabeled items)
    • Convincing a new player to give you their starter kit "to upgrade for them"
    Consequences
    1. Offense 1: 7 day temp ban + full refund to victim
    2. Offense 2: 30 day temp ban + full refund + economy probation (chat shops only, no /trade)
    3. Offense 3: permanent ban
  2. Use /trade for player dealsinfo

Use /trade for safe atomic swaps. Drops or unlocked chests are at your own risk.

The safe way to do a player-to-player exchange is `/trade <player>`. Both sides put their offer in, both confirm, the swap is atomic. No one can swap items at the last second.

Doing trades through dropping items on the ground or putting things in unlocked chests is at your own risk. We won't refund items lost to "scams" that happened outside of /trade.

This isn't a punishment, just a heads up: use the tools that protect you.

    safe
    • /trade <player> with both offers visible
    • Confirming both sides before the swap
    your risk
    • Dropping items on the ground for them to pick up
    • Putting items in an unlocked chest
    • "Hold this for me real quick"
    Consequences
    1. Offense 1: no punishment - this is informational
  3. No real-money trading (RMT)temp-ban

No selling in-game items for real money. The official /store is the only legal real-money path.

The only way to spend real money on Astroworld is the official /store. That's it.

Why? RMT introduces scams, account theft, and chargeback fraud. It's also against Mojang's EULA which we follow.

    not allowed
    • Selling in-game money for real money (PayPal, crypto, gift cards, etc.)
    • Buying in-game items with real money outside the official store
    • Trading Astroworld items/money for items/money on other servers
    • Paying other players real money to do gameplay tasks for you (boosting)
    Consequences
    1. Offense 1: 7 day temp ban + economy reset of involved trades
    2. Offense 2: permanent ban
    3. Offense buyer: buyers caught also get the same punishment as the seller
  4. Shop pricing is your callwarn

Set whatever prices you want. Free market. Don't price-bait, don't sign-spam, don't undercut as harassment.

Set whatever prices you want in your chest shops. Free market.

If you sell garbage at premium prices and players still buy it, that's their problem and your win.

    not allowed
    • Price-bait (set 1 diamond at $999,999 to abuse hover-tooltip glitches)
    • Sign-spam (signs everywhere advertising your shop in unclaimed land - see griefing)
    • Undercutting to spite a specific player below cost just to drive them out as harassment
    Consequences
    1. Offense 1: warning + sign cleanup required
    2. Offense 2: shop temporarily closed by staff
    3. Offense 3: longer shop closure + temp ban from shop system
  5. No multi-account economic abusetemp-ban

Alts are allowed but you can't use them for double votes, transferring money, or stacking daily rewards.

Alts are allowed (see Account section), but you cannot use multiple accounts to abuse systems.

Vote rewards are tied to your IP, not your account. If we detect alt voting we will null the rewards.

    not allowed
    • Voting on every site twice (once per account) for double rewards
    • Transferring money between alts to game leaderboards
    • Running a shop with one alt buying from your main at inflated prices to fake reviews
    • Stacking daily login rewards across accounts
    Consequences
    1. Offense 1: warning + alt money/items confiscated
    2. Offense 2: alts permanently disabled for your IP, original account temp banned 7 days
    3. Offense 3: all accounts permanently banned
BUILDING & LAND

Building & Land

What you can build, where you can build, and how claims work.

  1. Keep builds appropriatetemp-ban

Family-friendly applies to builds too. No sexual content, no slurs, no real-world violence imagery in visible builds.

Family-friendly applies to builds the same way it applies to chat.

This applies to anything other players can see: surface builds, signs, item frames, banners, command-block art, books left in public.

We don't go hunting in private claimed bases. Build whatever offends you in your own home. Just don't put it where new players see it.

    not allowed visible
    • Sexual or suggestive shapes, structures, or pixel art
    • Slurs, harassment, or hate symbols
    • Real-world violence imagery
    • Drug references or paraphernalia
    • Content targeting a specific player as harassment
    okay in private
    • Whatever you want in your own claimed base where nobody sees it
    Consequences
    1. Offense 1: warning + build removal required (you remove it, or staff removes it for you)
    2. Offense 2: 7 day temp ban + build removed
    3. Offense 3: permanent ban
  2. No claim spamwarn

Don't dot the world with 1x1 claims. Claim system has limits. We won't enforce extra unless someone games it.

Don't dot the world with 1x1 claims you'll never use. Don't claim every chunk you happen to walk through.

The claim system has limits per player. We won't enforce extra rules unless someone is clearly gaming the system to lock out specific areas.

If your claim is empty 60+ days and someone wants to use the land, staff can review and unclaim through /support.

    Consequences
    1. Offense 1: warning + reasonable claim count enforced
    2. Offense 2: claim count temporarily reduced by staff
    3. Offense 3: temp ban from claim system
  3. Leave public spaces publicwarn

Don't claim around spawn, inside hub structures, or over major roads. Building near is fine. Claiming over isn't.

Building near these is fine. Claiming over them or blocking them is not.

    dont claim
    • The area immediately around spawn (1000 blocks out is fair game, closer is not)
    • Inside hub structures (you can't anyway, but stop trying)
    • Major roads or paths the server has built
    Consequences
    1. Offense 1: warning + claim removed
    2. Offense 2: 1 day temp ban from claiming
    3. Offense 3: 7 day temp ban from claiming
  4. Don't farm in spawnwarn

Spawn is shared space. Move your mob farms, AFK fishing, and shop signs 200+ blocks out.

Spawn is for new players to land safely. Move your operations 200+ blocks out. Spawn is shared space.

    dont in spawn
    • Mob farms in spawn-adjacent chunks (causes lag for new players)
    • Auto-fishing AFK rigs in spawn (also lag)
    • Chest shops directly in front of spawn NPCs (visual clutter)
    Consequences
    1. Offense 1: warning + farm removal
    2. Offense 2: 1 day temp ban
    3. Offense 3: 7 day temp ban
ACCOUNT & SECURITY

Account & Security

Alts, account sharing, ban evasion, and basic security.

  1. Alts are fine, with reasonable limitsinfo

Multiple accounts allowed for normal play. NOT allowed for system abuse (double voting, daily reward stacking).

You can play with multiple Minecraft accounts. We don't restrict this. We DO restrict using alts to abuse systems (see rule 4.5 about economy abuse).

    allowed
    • Playing with a brother, sister, or friend on different accounts in your home
    • Having a creative-test alt for builds
    • Using a Bedrock account on Geyser while having a Java account too
    not allowed
    • Voting on the same site with multiple accounts
    • Stacking daily login rewards across accounts
    • Using alts to evade bans (see 6.4)
    Consequences
    1. Offense 1: no punishment for normal alt usage
  2. Account sharing is your riskinfo

Share your password? Anything they do is on you. We don't reverse 'it was my friend' bans.

If you give your account password to someone - friend, sibling, "trusted" stranger - anything they do is on you. Bans from their behavior apply to your account.

Think twice before sharing logins. We don't reverse "but it was my friend" bans.

    Consequences
    1. Offense 1: any rule break by the borrower applies fully to your account
  3. Don't sell, trade, or buy Astroworld accountsban

No selling your account on third-party sites. No buying others' accounts. Same as RMT.

Don't put your Astroworld progress up for sale on third-party sites. Don't buy someone else's account to skip the early game.

This is similar to RMT (rule 4.3) but specifically about full account ownership. Same rules, same consequences.

    Consequences
    1. Offense seller: permanent ban, no appeal
    2. Offense buyer: permanent ban for buyer's other accounts too if we can link them
  4. No ban evasionban

If you're banned, joining on an alt extends your ban. Repeat = IP ban, then range ban, then Mojang report.

If your account is banned and you join on an alt, that alt gets banned too. If you keep making new accounts, we ban your IP, then your range, then we forward to Mojang.

The way to come back is to wait out your ban or appeal through /support. Not to make alts.

    Consequences
    1. Offense 1: permanent ban on alt + ban time on main extended
    2. Offense 2: IP ban
    3. Offense 3: range ban + report to Mojang
  5. Staff will never ask for your passwordinfo

Anyone claiming to be staff and asking for your password is impersonating staff. We never ask.

We will never ask for your password. Not in DMs, not in /msg, not in Discord. Anyone claiming to be staff and asking for your password is impersonating staff - see rule 1.8.

If you forget your account password, that's between you and Mojang/Microsoft, not us. We can't help.

    Consequences
    1. Offense 1: informational rule - report password requests via /support
  6. Use 2FA on Discord (recommended)info

Founders, OGs, and staff should enable 2FA on Discord. Not enforced, just strongly suggested.

If you're a Founder/OG or staff, please enable 2FA on your Discord account. It protects you from account takeovers that would let someone post in our community as you.

This is a recommendation, not a rule. We can't enforce it. We just strongly suggest it.

    Consequences
    1. Offense 1: no punishment - this is a recommendation
REPORTING & STAFF

Reporting & Staff

How to report something. How to talk to staff.

  1. How to report somethinginfo

Use /support, the website form, or DM a Mod/Admin in Discord. Include who, what, when, evidence.

Use one of these: - `/support` on the server (opens the website support page) - The "Submit a report" form on astroworldmc.com/support - DM a Mod or Admin in Discord (visible in the member list)

We read every /support submission. We don't always reply, but we read.

    include
    • Who (player name)
    • What happened (what rule, when, where)
    • Evidence: screenshots, video clip, chat logs
    • What you'd like us to do (optional)
    dont
    • Spam main chat with STAFF STAFF STAFF
    • DM five different mods at the same time
    • Reopen a closed report without new evidence
    Consequences
    1. Offense 1: informational rule - this is how to report properly
  2. Don't argue with staff in main chatwarn

If staff tells you to stop, listen. Disagree? Take it to /support, not main chat.

If a staff member tells you something - to stop, to take it to /msg, to file a report - listen. If you disagree with the call, take it to /support and we'll review.

Arguing in main chat after a staff direction is itself a separate rule break.

    Consequences
    1. Offense 1: 1 hour mute
    2. Offense 2: 1 day mute
    3. Offense 3: 7 day temp ban
  3. Staff decisions are not always finalinfo

Disagree with a mute or ban? File an appeal via /support. We review as a team. Bring receipts.

If you think a mute, ban, or warning was unfair, file an appeal through /support. Be specific about what happened, why you think it's wrong, and what evidence supports you.

We review appeals as a team, not just by the staff member who made the call. Bring receipts.

We don't do appeals through DMs, in-game chat, or Discord pings to specific staff. The /support form goes to the whole team.

    Consequences
    1. Offense 1: informational rule - here's how appeals work
  4. Don't bait staff or test ruleswarn

Don't poke the chat filter to see what gets through. We notice patterns. Consequences stack.

Don't see how close you can get to a slur before the chat filter triggers. Don't try variations of banned words to see what gets through. Don't keep poking the mod to see when they'll snap.

We notice patterns. The consequences for "testing" stack on top of the original rule break.

    Consequences
    1. Offense 1: stacked consequences on top of the original rule break
  5. False reports waste timewarn

Made-up incidents or framing players will earn you a mute and report-system block.

If you file repeated reports we can prove are fake or malicious (made-up incidents, framing other players, etc.), that's a rule break.

We'd rather have 100 reports that turn out to be misunderstandings than miss a real issue. Be honest, file the report, and we'll figure it out.

    Consequences
    1. Offense 1: warning
    2. Offense 2: 1 day mute + report system temporarily blocked for your account
    3. Offense 3: 7 day temp ban
  6. Be patientinfo

Staff aren't online 24/7. Some reports take hours, big ones take longer. Spamming doesn't speed it up.

Staff are not online 24/7. Some reports take a few hours. Some take a day. Big incidents take longer because we have to gather evidence and discuss.

Spamming "WHEN ARE YOU GOING TO ACT" doesn't help. It's already on our list.

    Consequences
    1. Offense 1: informational - just wait
DISCORD-SPECIFIC

Discord-specific

The few rules that only apply in Discord.

  1. Channel topics are realwarn

Each channel has a purpose. Posting off-topic earns warnings, then short Discord mutes.

Each channel has a specific purpose. Posting off-topic in a specific channel: warning, message moved or deleted. Repeated: short Discord mute.

    channel purposes
    • #welcome - read-only, intro and rules link
    • #announcements - read-only, owner posts only
    • #general - main chat
    • #suggestions - feature ideas, not bug reports
    • #sneak-peeks - owner posts only, react and reply yes
    • #server-status - bot, no chat
    Consequences
    1. Offense 1: warning + message moved or deleted
    2. Offense 2: short Discord mute
  2. No DM advertisingban

DMing members with promos = permanent ban. No warnings.

Don't DM members of our Discord with promos for your own server, Discord, business, OnlyFans, crypto scheme, NFT project, anything. We see it. Members report it. Bans follow.

We don't warn for cold-DM advertising. There's no good-faith version.

    Consequences
    1. Offense 1: permanent ban from Discord
  3. No NSFW contenttemp-ban

No NSFW images, videos, links, or stickers. Includes 'borderline' content and suggestive anime art.

No NSFW images, videos, links, or stickers. This includes "borderline" content, suggestive jokes that go too far, and anime-style content that's clearly suggestive.

    Consequences
    1. Offense 1: warning + content removed + 1 day Discord mute
    2. Offense 2: 7 day Discord mute
    3. Offense 3: permanent Discord ban
  4. Reactions matter toowarn

Reaction-spam clogs feeds. Reaction harassment (clown emoji, downvote spam) is harassment.

Spamming reactions on every message (especially old ones) clogs feeds for everyone. Don't.

If a reaction is clearly mocking another user (downvote-spam, clown emoji harassment), that's reaction harassment.

    Consequences
    1. Offense 1: warning + reactions removed
    2. Offense 2: short Discord mute
  5. Voice channel etiquettewarn

No earrape, soundboard spam, or following players to voice channels they leave.

When in voice: don't blast loud music or earrape audio, don't soundboard spam, don't follow players to voice channels they leave to escape you, mute yourself if you're loudly typing or eating.

If staff asks you to lower your volume or mute, do it.

    Consequences
    1. Offense 1: warning + voice kick if needed
    2. Offense 2: 1 day voice mute
    3. Offense 3: 7 day voice ban
  6. Discord ban = server ban (and vice versa)info

Permanent bans cross both platforms. One community, one set of rules.

If you get permanently banned on Discord, you're also banned on the server. If you get permanently banned on the server, you're also banned on Discord.

We don't run two parallel reputations. One community, one set of rules.

    Consequences
    1. Offense 1: informational - permanent bans cross both platforms
• FINAL NOTES •
  • These rules can change. When we add a new rule or change an existing one, we post the change in #announcements with a date. Older rules don't get retroactively enforced - what was OK yesterday is not punished today.
  • If a rule isn't here but it feels obviously wrong, it probably is. We can't list every possible bad behavior. Use common sense. If you're not sure, ask.
  • Staff have judgment calls. The consequences listed above are baselines. Particularly egregious cases get harsher punishment. Particularly small misunderstandings get lighter handling. We're humans, not robots.
  • Appeals exist. If you think any decision is wrong, /support has an appeal option. We listen.
STILL UNCLEAR?

Edge cases happen.

If you're unsure whether something is allowed, open a support ticket on /support before doing it. Much cheaper than appealing later.
